The IB teaches students to question and evaluate the educational experience and to reflect on global issues. This results in educated, open-minded, thoughtful and caring human beings. Are those the hallmarks of a conspiracy to produce 'human capital'? Where is the evidence?

And finally, consider this: if all these silly comments are true, why do all serious universities give preference to admitting IB graduates? Hm.....

IB promotes global citizens who have no moral compass. Bright children are being brainwashed to become merely human capital in a world where they are equally valuable to the trees and rocks and cockroaches. Do not allow IB into your school system. I suppose the (non-merit based, therefore ingenuous) empowerment created by the opportunity to direct the course of one's own education with behaviors as focus carries the day as far as self esteem goes. PYP creates style, not substance.

PYP's 'learner profile' is behavioral in nature, toward international 'mindedness', which is holistic, not cognitive, assuming children do not innately think or learn independently - yet with PYP, children are their own educational authorities, directing the course of their own education. On the one hand, they are cretins in need of reformation, yet on the other they are qualified to be their own teachers.
