Walking the finale. Over 580 rounds of mortar shells. 2.5", 3",4",5",6" and 8" inch mortars . July 3, 2009 Greenwich Point Connecticut. Walked by Louis Speringo and filmed by John Grestini. Fireworks by Atlas Advanced Pyrotechnics, Jaffrey New Hampshire.

  • Definately fun... 20+ years running finale and it never gets old... We use saftey glasses, hard hats, ear protection and gloves and No Polyester as MrChasehughes has stated....

  • @fr3ds4t I cant speak for these guys but saftey glasses, hard hat, ear protection and gloves where all that was required for our crew to wear, and NO Polyester. But a long neck collar was always a nice luxory.

  • Way to work it!

    My favorite thing to do besides be the guy with the match (flare) is to lay a rubber mat down about 20 feet from the finale lay down on my back and just watch it go... Best seat in the house is back to the ground!

  • Some of those chains looked like the quickmatch was slow burning. Looks like some of the same product I had for my show this Fourth. My crew member was doing the same thing trying to get the shells in the air.
