Bingham Lake is privately owned by the Pinery Water & Wastewater District (PW&WD) and is managed by Douglas County Parks and Trails Division. Bingham Lake operates under a private lake provision through the Colorado Division of Wildlife. This allows fishing on the lake without the need for a fishing license from the Colorado Division of Wildlife or Douglas County Parks and Trails. The Douglas County Parkland surrounding the water is open to the public for hiking, biking, and picnicking under Douglas County Parks rules during its posted hours.
Hey, I live right across from Bingham Lake on Fairway Lane (have a clear view of it from our bedroom window) so this was really neat seeing this video. Thanks for the interest in our area! It really is wonderful (except the teens going up there for who-knows-what in the middle of the night during the Summer, sure wish they'd patrol it more heavily).
