Thanks for uploading this. I have video too from 1988 opening the cell doors. The mechanisms were real old then, but it sure was an awesome thing to witness.

yea that ranger is john cantwell, my dad works on alcatraz as a tour guide so ive been just about everywhere on the island including the top of the lighthouse, celebrities come through all the time, i had an opputunity to spend the night there about two months back i slept in d block cell 42,. kinda freaky stuff

yup the cell 14D are hunted i heard that there's someone locked up in there. one night he saw a creature glowing eyes he screamed and died in late 1940's i think.

cause of the steeldoors. they bang together and this make the loud nois. it is realy creepy hearing this in real.
