This is a prelude with Ernest P. Worrell in Jim Varney's first film, Dr. Otto and the Riddle Of The Beam. This is not on the dvd, but was on the vhs. I also heard it wasn't in the film when it was first released to theaters also.

  • Why is it that I can't find Jim Varney Movies ANYWHERE these days? I mean, in the past three years, I've found a set of "Ernest Goes To Afria" and "Ernest In The Army" along with all the commercials, "Your World As I See It", and whatever else was on there..

But damn, I want Ernest Goes To Splash Mountain, and this one. I've never seen them.. Jim Varney was amazing. Too bad he's dead now.

  • @DeathForRomance I've been wondering the same thing man but recently I just bought this ernest triple feature that was just put out at walmart! It had Ernest goes to camp, Ernest goes to jail, and Ernest scared stupid for only 5 dollars! Since walmart pretty much sale the same stuff everywhere I'm sure one near you will probably have it. If not maybe you can order it.

  • why the hell is this not on the dvd? i had to get the tape for this scene

  • @mortalantichrist666 I heard because this scene wasn't on the theatrical version and not added until it was released onto tape. I think by doing that the makers thought they could sale more copies if they promote it more as an Ernest film. Anyway I really like this scene too man and think they should of put it on the dvd, if not in the film at least as a special feature.

  • This is pretty twisted... No wonder it wasn't on the DVD.

  • @Kendu72 The whole movie is twisted, I love it lol.

  • How unfortunate that this isn't on my DVD version. But, hey, I get to see Ernest step out of the changing coffin at the end. You can never have enough Ernest.

  • I MISS JIM TERRIBLY!

  • Thanks. I had completely forgotten about this part.

  • Classic. Jim Varney is MY HERO 4 EVER! R.I.P. JIM VARNEY 1949-2000!
