  • what is the diameter of the holes?

  • @muttley051 muttley sounds a lot like moron

  • is dr. robotnik

  • its my tube ? cool

  • i am going to make one of those

  • @soapandwafflesrule LMAO!!!

  • also you may reduce the numbers of holes to solve this problem, however, the problem of the gas flow is not entirely resolved since the gas flow are coming into a small pipe the it is easier for the gas to come out from the holes that are closer to the gas supply end, so you will actually have flames of uneven height even without the sound frequency( wut happened to mine), in this case you can cover up some holes at the end that don't have flames on it anyway n maybe some on the gas supply end.

  • @Iamatheist1234 1.8 cm mine was

  • Also this is not exactly a closed-closed- pipe scenario since there are gas coming in from one end of the pipe, however the problem is negligible when the cross section area of your pipe is relatively larger then that of the hose. If you use a small pipe, however, the gas flow will start playing a role in the pipe reducing the effect the speaker has on the gas pressure in the pipe, hence, the effect will be smaller, so it is highly recommended to use a big pipe for this experiment

  • just so let you guys know, if you plan on doing this USE A BIGGER PIPE, one with 2-3 inches in diameter, I did mine with a pipe of 1.8 in diameter and not much happened(you can still see the effect the speaker has in the gas pressure but no standing wave), probably because the pressure differences between the propane in the pipe and the surrounding air is not high enough. if you absolutely have to do 1 with small pipe, drill smaller holes, and turn up the volume in your experiment.
