@contentfree I agree. Most people have no idea what the speed of light is, because it's effectively instantaneous to any one other than an engineer or scientist.
I don't really understand the purpose of the interview, unless these people have some sort of background in science then they are just guessing and have probably not formed any particular bias, they are just giving random numbers. Sure bias can be used to form a guess but unless you know the basis of the bias then how can you determine the accuracy of the result? Is this an example of confirmation bias?
