This was a great comedian who didn't quite get the recognition he deserved. Unfortunately he passed before his time was here...But, Fortunately, there are some of us to carry on his memory :) Bill we miss ya buddy!
bill and i worked vegas in "94". we became fast friends and had more gut busting fun backstage then on. bill had a huge talent and huger heart, he was on "planet sacra". when i had a bad day he would do "bronson" for me and the day would be brighter. i regret not seeing him his last years as he never told me, the informed me after. i still him mooning me in the wings LMAO thanks for the "curly" doll i see it every day and see you. never to be forgotten or duplicated. later pallie
Wow, I remember Bill and Amos and a few others from Shirley's (pre-Caravan days) and Mr. Sobel, all I can say is thanks for the memories from Bill - too soon a shining light faded out to black.
I knew Bill through his younger sister Becky. She and I were best friends in high school and were always trying to make each other laugh!! I know she had to inherit that gene from her brother because she would have me rollin so hard I almost peed my pants!! I think the echo of laughter from Becky's room beckoned to Bill because he would often come up there and suprise us with the best joke or impression and then leave right after as if to just amplify our laugh fest!! It was great!!
great talent and a true friend, thanks for putting this up Ben, it's good to have him on the internet - he was so ahead of his time, and probably still is...
So glad to see this on here. Bill was a close personal friend of me and my father. I still have his makeup case, actually. Thank you so much for posting.
I never got to see this guy perform but I love this video - this guy is fantastic. This guy should have gotten a lot more recognition for his comic genius. His Archie Bunker absolutely blows me out of the water. Nice tribute - so sorry that he passed away. Let's keep his memory alive.
What a wonderful tribute. I got Bill a lot at the comedy clubs here in Louisville and got to know him a bit...he was a very talented and sweet man. Thanks for sharing this video.

I remember Bill from Eastern High School.
He would hold the class's attention with his caricature drawings.
Not only were they beautiful, but it was his technique that kept us spellbound.
He would draw a random line here, a dot there. Then a curve over here
and swiggly line over there.
And then, all of the sudden, you realized: It's Groucho Marx!
He used to dress up an old woman, maybe 70. Picture him in a crowded High School hallway, and he's wearing a dress, pocketbook - the whole outfit.
