What's interesting about Giambattista, is that his clothes tend to stray into "glam" territory (and I'm not generally a fan of glam) and yet he compensates with such dynamic shapes and textures. Season after season my gut reaction is lackluster, but when I look closer at those details that aren't immediately apparent, I am more intrigued than if he were to offer the interest in one layer. And that is fashion to me...the infinite facets that can make up something so simple as a garment.
