Nassir Shamma in Paris 1/2 نصير شمة - عود

Just before the Nassir concert in Paris at the Arab World Institute during the early part of the 1990's, two Iraqi artists meet by chance: Nassir with his oud, Kaiss with his camera. This film evokes memories, war in Iraq, the embargo years, the beginning of the biggest Iraqi exile. Today it is all in the past but we don't want to forget - Kaiss's camera serves as an archival document.

La maison de luth arabe (Beit el oud al arabi) D`Abu Dhabi a ouvre ses portes le 15/02/2008 sous la direction du célèbre artiste et grand maître de luth Nasser Shamma, .L`école est ouverte a tous les étudiants qui voudraient apprendre a jouer et a maîtriser les rudiments du Oud et d`autres instruments orientaux.

La maison compte a ce jour une quarantaine d`élèves suivis et encadres par cinq professeurs professionnels
