Who would be in the Greatest Team in the History of Cricket?

  • Is there a massive elephant in the room here? You've hardly mentioned 1 of THE GREATEST players ever! In the last 25 years too and currently playing. And I'm talking about one of the greatest in terms or Tests or ODIs individually or together (the real deal at the highest level of competition).

    Yes, he'll get you more wickets than a certain over-rated bowler you both list, and he'll get you them at a better average and better strike rate. Yes, he'll get you many more 5-fors and 10-fors! (cont)

  • I guess it comes down to how many spinners you play in your side. I'd rather go for one spinner. So I'd therefore pick Warne. If you pick two spinners then sure go for Murali.

  • dream team: 1.w.g grace 2. hutton 3. bradman 4. lara 5. sobers 6. gilchrist 7. botham 8. imraan khan 9. akram 10. warne/muralitharan 11. george lohmann obviously the best batting line up possible with awsome bowling in there with te legendary spin options lohmann had a test bowling average of 10.75 and 7 people in the line up bowl and 9 of them can bat and possibly 10 if you include warne and murali i think if that team came together they would be unbeatable

  • It'd be the other way round for me (and for anyone going by paper of course). No doubt about it. Murali first, and if circumstances call for 2, then Warne I suppose.
