I used to wake up early Saturday morning to watch this when it aired in Australia back in the 90s..This is what super close,super competitive series was all about.300 odd hp cars with nuts driving them always made for plenty of action and with none other than the best commentator I`ve ever heard,Murray Walker.

all the cars they use now for touring cars are no where near as good as the ones used in the 90s

i wish btcc was like this now, my dad tells me everytime we watch it on the telly haha, no areo bits just the standard cars capped to 2.0 engines spot on.
with btcc trying to cut the costs surly using standard body shells would be easier than developing areo parts for cars?

its a shame that we have to go back 16 YEARS to see this level of excitement for touring cars ............. bring it all back i say ditch the procession that is formula 1 and put those drivers in the btcc tour !!
