I'm a Mainer and I can say that Moose are very aggresive towards Humans however, that was a very young moose alone with his or her mommy around.
Had the Mamma Moose been there that man would be in true danger.
I was lucky one day when I drove by a Mother Moose with her baby as the came out of the woods into the road that she didn't ram and attack my car. They have been known to do some real damage to people and cars on Maine roads.

Not so nice for the moose when it thinks all humans are friendly and moose killing season kicks in. People need to stop thinking that all wildlife is a prospective pet.

@Xgames13 Petting a cow is more dangerous since it is higly probably that a cow moose still has a calf with her. Last year we had a motorcyclists almost killed when he slowed down to let the cow cross the road. He didnt see the calf in the woodline and the cow proceeded to pummel the motorcyclists till other motorists were able to driver her off.

that was totally stupid thinking on their part. Moose in the wild are very aggresive and attacks on humans are more common than bear attacks. In Alaska feeding wildlife like this is illegal.

He wasn't feeding the moose. It was sniffing his hand. This particular moose is a regular visitor to local camps. The only time we have known moose to be aggressive in this area is during the rut. They otherwise walk away when anyone gets close. This one was very curious.

That is not something you should do....if its mother was around you would find out why.

I wasn't a fan of that either, although the mother and father are equally friendly. The entire moose family are frequent visitors to some local camps. From what I have heard about them, some folks visit all three moose almost daily.
