End of Joplin Tornado

This video was taken from the 7th and Range Line as the tornado went through the commercial area of town. This was near the end of the storms path when the tornado seemed to be the largest.

A car is less likely to fly with the windows down.

Yeah me and my kids were in the flying J Truck stop when it hit...When I looked at the clock that day it said 6:02....and the tornado hit the building about 1 minute later...It was much longer than first thought

those Hondas are tougher than I thought.... : ) I will have my house constructed out the same material that your car was constructed out of...again...glad you all survived to tell about it...sorry for any loss of loved ones or friends.

We pulled into a random driveway... When we lifted our heads after it was over nothing was there but us!

We were in out Honda Civic. Didn't have time to get out. It's funny, I don't remember much about the sound as we were in the tornado (right in the center) and after the windows blew I remember my ears hurting, and the sound of debris hitting the car and us. The pressure was the worst part. The car amazingly stayed on the ground (As far as I know) or at least in the same spot. The sound as it was coming to us was freight train like. A BIG freight train.

where did you hide from the tornado...how did it sound.

I am in that tornado, just down the street a block off Rangeline. This proves it wasn't over in seconds but minutes.
