Something Weird The Zodiac Killer

"Why? Why don't you idiots ever learn? Don't you know people like me exist?" asks The Zodiac Killer in voice-over as he calmly walks down a suburban street in broad daylight wearing a bad wig and one of those silly novelty glasses with the big rubber nose, jumps on a passing teenage girl, stabs her to death, then calmly walks away as if nothing happened. Unfortunately, "The Zodiac" existed alright, but the identity of the madman that murdered at least five people in California between 1966 and 1969 — then taunted the police with a series of letters and confessions sent to various newspapers — remains as much of a mystery today as it did in 1970 when The Zodiac Killer was made. But that doesn't stop this twisted little tabloid horror film from creating its own profile of who the psycho is. In fact, it gives us two potential Zodiacs. One is Graver (BOB JONES), a bald truck driver by day, and a wig-wearing woman chaser by night. He also hates his ex-wife and, apparently, women in general. The other is Jerry (HAL REED), a shy, affable mailman who doesn't feel comfortable around people and keeps bunny rabbits as friends. Both have respectable jobs, live in cozy neighborhoods, and easily blend into (a bubblingly corrupt) society despite a general loathing of humanity. And both could easily be the guy who walks up to a police car and shoots the cop behind the wheel, kills a couple making out in a VW van, and blows away the waitress and cook of a local diner as they sit chatting in a car. - Something Weird
