DKRDS - Boss Touch Challenge: Dragon Forest

A video beating Smokey the Dragon in the Boss Touch Challenge for Dragon Forest.

As I said in the other one, the difficult thing about this one is the controls. Once you're comfortable enough with them, it's not that difficult. To control the plane, you just put the stylus on certain parts of the touch screen (left side for left, right for right, top for down, and bottom for up). The acceleration is the up direction button on the D-pad. To use items, tap the circle (the "horn") on the steering wheel/control thing.

It's not pretty racing in the least, but it got the job done; I probably didn't need any items, too. :-P

Don't try to go out of your way to get items, especially in the caves because they usually hurt more than they help unless you can steer very well. I think I pressed up throughout the whole race (I don't think you get a better boost if you let go for this race).

It's best to only touch the touch screen when necessary for steering. For example, you'll see that I'm usually only tapping the left and right sides when I want to adjust the plane, not dragging or holding for more than I need to.

The only other advice I have right now is to stay fairly low (i.e. try to make sure you mostly use the top/top-middle part of the touch screen when steering). You avoid Smokey's "fart clouds" that way and it might feel easier to control while not slowing you down as much.

No, the touch challenges just give you coins. I suggest searching online for a walkthrough to see what you might have missed if you're still stuck.

Microsoft owns them now. I like to see dixie and tiny though. Nintendo hasnt done anything with them in a while.
