Half a world away from family and friends for months on end, pets... usually dogs.... brought companionship and comfort to countless young American soldiers.

We don't like the War . Why US bring it to Vietnam ???

Nobody likes war, including Americans. If you're Vietnamese, I'm sure you know the Vietnamese adage: "The only time Vietnamese stop fighting each other is when they fight foreigners." The US didn't bring war to Vietnam; Vietnamese brought the war upon themselves. All the US, Russia and China did was help in your efforts. The Communists only used the US as a propaganda tool to rally Vietnamese nationalism, which they then used as a tool to send their young men to kill their brothers and die.

Great way to show the side of war GI's had.

I had a dog that was a third generation dog from when 118th AHC was in Bien Hoa. She was a great watch dog and produced a 4th generation while there. We called her Lady.
