@Hans021220 I'm sure he did, in his own way. The truth is, for a true hoarder, it can't be done alone, but she had to step up to plate before he was made aware that she was willing and determined.  Does that make sense?

Flylady is so nice because she wasn`t condemning or condescending, and she was patient. I`d probably grab a garbage bag and just start filling it up but flylady took the time to talk with her about a hat and who knows what else. I looked like it was literally a piece by piece effort.
