Either that's a way bigger boat than it looks like, or those waves are significantly overrated......

no i do. 2-3 ft swells /chop can be a lot for any kind of boat. i've been sailing and boating on lake michigan for over 17 years. I have some experience any time I see larger buddy cabins, pleasure craft, se rays, celebrities, or large ringers out on the lake they're usually bobbing up and down

i was in 32 footers in a 180

i was in a 14footer in 4 foot waves

those were some pretty big waves to toss a boat that size around!

looks more like 2-4 footers. I worked on a heavy rescue boat on this lake for 7 yrs and those didnt look like 4-6ft. i could be wrong though. glad you made it out alive no matter what the wave height.

like the guy in Jaws said...I think we need a bigger boat
Guys you don't understand, these waves are tiny, but they can easily flip a boat!
I've seen a kid fall off a boat before from going over fast waves like this, and our boat has nearly tipped before too.
Never underestimate the power of Lake Erie.
