South jetty a prime spot for risky fishing

GALVESTON — The south jetty has been the site of three water rescues this year and of four drownings since 2002, but there is no plan to repair cuts in the two-mile jetty that prevent anglers from reaching land during high tides. been there done that not that hard well back then it wasn't . Haven't been there for years but all you need are some spike boots or some old golf shoes and the rocks wont be slippery at all. Doubt that any fat out of shape guy will make it to the end lol now that would be dangerous or maybe you con take your kayak to the end?

THEY SHOULD CLOSE THE JETTY. I FISH ALOT AND WOULDNT RISK BEIN STUCK OUT THER AND HAVEIN CALL FOR HELP JUST CAUSE PEOPLE BEIN DUMB. THATS CAUSE I SWIN GOOD BUT THATS IN A POOL OR CALM WATERS. CITY SHOULD REBUILD OR CLOSE OFF
