  • Protesting inside of youtube is no different then protesting inside a McDonalds. You will get kicked out and will have to protest on the street. Youtube isn't a US public utility, therefor they have the right to take off videos and ban users against their own rules. Is it wrong? Yes. But that is irrelevant. I am surprised that anyone thought youtube would allow criticism of themselves on their own site.

  • The key word is CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Many businesses have easy-to-use ways of giving them constructive criticism.

As users of YouTube we can help change it to one which we do not fear being banned without good reason.

  • Youtube sucks we need a new site thats not corporate owned.

  • That site would then become popular and then corporations will try to buy it and money can be persuasive :(

  • "its" users. Not "it is" users. Why do people have so much trouble with that...

  • It might not be so bad, but they specifically state that one of their goals is to be a free-speech environment.

  • Good work. Keep up the fight. Votebots and youtube's terms will not silence us!

  • Sadly true, even when we all claim to be "individuals" there is a innate need for compliance and stability. Thus the very reason why we continue to do what we do where we are.

We like to think we can just break out on our own, but we won't.

  • I am sure that the 'mainstream' audience of YouTube is not influenced by this, so that automatically limits this "ning" community's potential for expansion

  • A person could set up a "ning" community, but it would not take long for it to be a "preaching to the choir" situation.

Kind of vapid and devoid of challenge.

  • That is exactly the problem. YouTube is great, because there are so many users. But it's not so great for obvious reasons.
