Every Easter in Piazza del Duomo, in Florence the Brindellone (a huge cart) is drawn by white oxen and accompanied by costumed revellers and various city officials. A mechanical dove flies down a wire and ignites the cart, which is loaded with fireworks. It is done in celebration of Florentine, Pazzino de'Pazzi who brought back to Florence flintstones from the Holy Sepulchre which were used to light the Holy fire on Holy Saturday to light up the city, and also to set off the dove towards the cart.
