That more or less was free fall speed. Basically if you believe the pancake theory they say happened, then you're believing that the top portion of the tower took out the lower portion of the tower at a rate of about 9 to 7 floors PER SECOND. If it actually pancaked on each floor it would've taken almost a minute and a half to come down.

i get close to 20 seconds. And I know that isn't acurate. And it is impossible to even calculate with dust blocking the view of the collapse.

Another thing to consider is the WTC didn't 100% collapse. the outer structure was still standing with about 20? floors remaining with no interior.




so calculating actual time of building collapse is more complicated than saying, a ball falls from the top floor and takes this long.

You're right it's not dead on free fall speed, and it is almost impossible to calculate the exact time, but I'm saying it should've taken much longer if it actually pancaked each floor.
