Woman Dies on Kings County Hospital Floor

June 30, 2008: -- Brooklyn, NY -- A 49 year-old woman died on the psychiatric emergency room floor at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. The woman was on the floor for almost an hour before hospital staff tended to her. The cause of her death is unknown.

thats y that shit got closed down!!!!bastards....i cant believe she layed there for an hourrrrrrrr!!!!! how cruel can ppl be, ppl just walk passed her and didnt even bother to at least go over and see if she was ok, this is just terrifying!!! i cant believe i was actually born in this horrible place, my mom tells me some very cruel stories about this place when she gave birth to 4 of us there!!!!! glad its been closed for good.

REALLY!!! a handfull of people in the waiting room and NOBODY tended to her for an HOUR!! That poor woman...humans have become so ..inhumane.. Its unbelievable, the nerve of that hospital..RIP to her poor soul

Haha your right, they really don't care, maybe like 3% doctors out there might care somewhat. They brought me into the ER on my deathbed and they wanted my name and insurance information and to sign forms before they would save me.

Supposedly it was a "Psychiatric Technician"... this is even more of a reason why Psychiatric Technician position should be LICENSED, like in the state of California where Psych Techs have to go through nursing school, pass criminal checks, pass a California Board examination BEFORE being given the right to be "LICENSED Psychiatric Technicians"- not just some random person off the street with no nursing school or board certification background.
