Hi what model is your Garmin Nuvi? I'm having REAL trouble finding which models support TYRE or will give me turn by turn routes that I have planned in software outside of the units. It's driving me up the wall, I'd like to get a really basic cheap second hand satnav that will let me plan my own routes that can then be uploaded to the satnav and have the satnav read it back to me, but garmin seem to be very conviluted with there terms and I can't work out which of there navs allows it.

@swisstony123 Nuvi 710T. Any of the 700 series Nuvis will support this.

In terms of other Garmins, having looked at their UK website, on the specs page, what you are looking for is under "Maps and Memory, Routes". This should not be zero. Some of the models say "Waypoints/Favourites/Location­s 1000", but "Routes 0". These won't do what you want. To double check, before you buy something, email Garmin support. Hope this helps.
