@bb4960 Do some more research and you would know that there are fastpitch mens leagues. Also fastpitch was never designed to be a power hitter's game. It relies more on offensive skills like bunting and slapping.

Fastpitch is a girls sport where a 60 MPH balll comes at you like 100 MPH. Real Men either play hardball or slow pitch. I guess some people like 1-0 games. Back the mound to 50 ft. and it's a different story.

The real issue here is how far out in front of the plate he bat is. To get arm extension she has to be way out in front of the plate, which means she is not seeing the ball as long as she could. It also means she has to have perfect timing. This also limits her ability to hit to all fields with any power. This is a pull hitting technique that requires perfect timing. Also the guys comments about a good riseball is correct. It is a terrible idea to try and swing up at a riseball.

i am a 4 time world series qualifier and never hit like that do not turn your bac foot that much u dont get enough power

gobbielayer - you obviously know nothing about hitting. It is people like you that make a hitting coach's job harder by using trying to reinvent the wheel with some "short and compact" style.
