Rajesh Khanna - Bombay Superstar - 3 of 9

Background :
2009 marked the 40th anniversary of the release of two landmark movies in the annuals of Hindi Film History - 'Aradhana' & 'Do Raaste'. The leading actor went on to become the very first & best Superstar Hindi Cinema has ever produced - Rajesh Khanna.

Unfortunately, his place in history seems to have been overshadowed in recent years & my aim in sharing this documentary is to, hopefully, show the Hindi Film Fan worldwide just what all the fuss was about.

Description :
Part 3 of 9, this documentary was broadcast as part the 'Man Alive' series on BBC 2 in 1973. Later repeated in 1982 & as part of the 'Festival of India' that took place that summer in the UK.

This is from a 2nd generation VHS copy that I converted to divx etc. & later cleaned up with the help of Mister Naidu (of Helen DVDs fame - www.misternaidu.blogspot.com).

the soung playing in the background at 1 min 10 onward is from dharam karam, which has NOTHING to do with rajesh khanna
