Close-up of a bowed violin G string recorded at 150 us per frame, played back at 10 fps. If you watch carefully, you can see the "stick-slip" process. Each cycle is about 5 ms in real time. Recorded as a demonstration for a physics class at Michigan Tech University. There is no audio with this file.

  • I am so excited to see this! I have violin students who will absolutely love seeing this...explanations from their teacher are one thing, but a video.... :-)
