James Bond 007 AMV #18 Teaser

Nine months.

Nearly nine goddamn months since my last video. I'm utterly embarrassed that it's taken this long to get back to the collection, let alone to video making altogether. It's been a long, zig-zagging road this year. What held me back the most was concerns where my career was headed.

This is a short one for now, made during the span of one whole night. One must walk before they can run, especially if they haven't done it for a while. I still have many other video projects waiting in the wings, some of them quite near completion.

The art of creating trailers for any major motion picture release should be considered a form of art ina and of itself. If an editor gets too eager to show the anticipating audience glimpses of every major plot point in the story, then that's very little surprise left when they go to see it and connect the dots. What trailers should be like is that they should have alternate, unused takes of the movie so the audience can get a basic grasp of what it is about, but still remaining in the dark as to what it will really be like. But I suppose that would just be much more work on the crew, more strain on the budget, and so on.

That's where I have the advantage it seems, with all the hours of additional footage from any game or anime I draw from for this collection. if there's a particular scene that I don't like, I can look through all the recorded clips and choose another. I can also create a teaser trailer without using any of the footage that will be seen in #18.

I needed a quick way to remind people that I wasn't dead, and that I didn't give up on my project. Finishing one of the big videos was viable because the deadline is drawing near on a personal matter, and I am way too tired to even consider it.

I hope you like it. Thank you to everyone who kept their faith and support in me after all this time. Despite all the crap I deal with nowadays here (Copyright infringement claims and whatnot) I'd almost forgotten what it was that I loved so much about YouTube.

But now I say with utmost satisfaction that I am back.
