  • Did you manage to get a letter back?

  • @TW94full Unfortunately not...I am still 99.9% sure that the addresses I sent the letters to belong to either the guy who the rifle was issued to or at least one of their family members. I've also had a few people from Switzerland tell me they think it's the guy to. But I have to admit if I got a letter from someone in another country saying they got my old M16 from when I was in the Marines I probably would be a little suspicious to lol.

  • how to you get the sling on the gun because i cant figure it out

    help me!!!!

  • I'll do a video on it and let you know when I post it up. Check back in a little bit.

  • FYI

That gizmo in your cleaning kit is for cleaning the chamber.

  • Huh well now I know. Thanks!

  • @dukenukemthreed Extremely sweet rifle, ammo is running around $1 a round, depending on your source. go to ammoseek dot com for the best "chase down who's got what" source I know of.

  • im thinking about buying a K-31, or some other c&r. but how is the ammo cost etc. im looking for a fun shooter (every once in a while). i already own the mosins, the enfields, etc etc. but i want to keep collecting i just dont know what to buy anymore. well i only have one mauser a czech k98.

  • @dukenukemthreed Yes the ammo is quite expensive, I've been doing reloads for the past year and it is well worth it. I own German and Yugo Mausers, an Aussie Enfileld, a Russian Moisin M1944 and a Finnish Mosin–Nagant and my K31 beats them all in terms of accuracy, dependability and general durability. It's an eccentric firearm to own but it's a lot of fun (and has probably the most simplstic safety I've ever seen on a rifle!).

  • If you get a letter back, you can scan it and send it to me. I'm Swiss and I speak a rather good English, so I could translate it for you !

Good to see that you like our K31. It is really a good product and I am sure that you will have a lot of fun. One thing I would like to say to all K31 owners: Please do not contact the former owner or the relatives of the owner. It is maybe not something which is much appreciated here in Switzerland. We've all been in military service and as you mentioned I would be suspicious too if somebody would contact me mentioning the he now owns my Stgw90 or Stgw57. Don't take it wrong.

  • cool review, plus an unexpected reference to trashfood... hotpockets

  • Hi, I also have one of these, I bought it in Switzerland and it is still there in storage as I know live in London where toe nail clippers are illegal, I speek French so if you need any translation please let me know.

Majority of Switzerland is german speeking, the rest is french and Italian. Nice looking piece

  • I was able to contact the original issuee of my K31. He actually contacted the arsenal and sent me some return emails. He was very surprised to get a call from someone in America about his rifle that he used. He said he had turned it in in the 1980s and didn't know anything else about it. It sat around for probably 10 years until it was imported to the US. I don't know how many owners it has had before me.
