The electrical intercity 4 is a deviated version of the diesel multiple unit intercity 3. The electric power version is operating in Denmark since 1995 and also referred to as class MF. Originally the train was designed for regional traffic only but has been upgraded for long-distance use in recent years. To be honest, I was struggling a bit to determine the exact train model, because they all have only minor differentiation features. Please, correct me if I picked the wrong model for this description. Anyway, at Copenhagen Central station these trains are very common to be seen. For rail enthusiasts from central Europe these models show off with their distinctive design as opposed to many other European countries, where such types of trains are not used at all. This film was made on April 12th 2011.

The Electric train on 4 cars is called: "Litra ER" but it´s in public known as"IR4"

The Diesel train on 3 cars is called: "Litra MF" but it´s in public known as "IC3"
