The AUS version has screws on the cover and it still needs to be "popped" off. Still very quick and easy. All I can say is, WOW, what a difference in performance. Highly recommended.

main benefits are low cost (starts at under $300) and portability (fits in my fleece's pocket), which means I can ditch my bag for quick meetings.

You can swap out the hard drive, but it requires more effort of course. Also the hard drive is a 1.8-inch pata hard drive, so most standard notebook drives will not fit- those are 2.5-inchers.
