We battle the summer heat and rugged terrain in search of Shirley Strachans helicopter crash site which is located on Mt Archer near Woodford.

@exCroweater Yes, I agree. I have never really understood why some people would want to look at this or other things like Princess Diana's accident shots. Each to their own I suppose.

I grew up with Skyhooks and Shirl's neighbourhood after school, never knew him but he lit up my life and still does when I listen to his music. Very sad. Just like Lady Di and Brian Naylor. RIP mate.

Odd thing: I'm a Yank, who'd never heard of the Skyhooks, till I married the woman who lived JUST below the mountain, at 61 Westvale Road. She said she could see the smoke from the crash, and she was really distraught, having loved the band. Weird, how these things have connections, eh?
