Far and away the best version of this song. The Sheids version is the one you hear but this one is far superior. Classic and pure DooWop at its best!

great song domino records of austin tex. the slades had quite a few songs in their short career, there was an answer song "i cheated "by joyce harris cd the slades,and another cd the domino record story has all songs on this label

We all have our favorite versions, mine happens to be the original , which is this one. In my opinion, Don Burch of The Slades, also the author of "You Cheated" , has a better sounding voice than Frankie Ervin of The Shields, but that's just my opinion. Being a vocalist myself, I know "It" , when I hear "It".
Different kind of video, but I like it. Thanks for posting it up. Great song, great group!
