For the past couple years, I've really neglected my Strat....mainly just because it didn't feel like a traditional Strat. It had (note past tense) a Floyd-Rose style bridge that just didn't feel right and currently still has very high output Lace Sensor pickups (Blue, Silver, and Red).

So, about a week ago I purchased a 2009 American Standard tremolo/bridge off of eBay. It is a two-point tremolo but has the vintage saddles. Next to be replaced are the pickups. I'm strongly considering the Lindy Fralin Vintage Hot single coils. I'm totally open to advice if anyone has any. Just looking for a traditional Strat sound (bell-like, chimey, jangly.......you know all the terms......).

Btw, audio is NOT my Super Reverb amp. As with most of my vids, I'm going directly into the computer through my Line 6 Tone Port UX2 and Gear Box software.

  • @bryandunnblues Thanks. The pickup setting was the middle/neck. The middle is a Lace Sensor Silver and the neck is a Lace Sensor Blue.

  • nice

  • finish this song dude, i'm waiting!

  • Well that guy is just playing on his pure feelings!

  • Turn the amp volume up and the guitar volume down, sensors mellow out really well, they take a bit of getting used to.

  • great dynamics !

  • sounded exactly like the real song great job!

  • this sounds really nice :)

  • texas specials

  • You can tell that you feel it, and i like that! If you have a min check mine out!

  • @bryandunnblues Lmao. I like that last part. I guess I was talking about the bridge going up or down, as opposed to the tremolo arm. I should have been more specific. I meant "up" like "off of the body" as opposed to "down" meaning "into the body." But I think you're right with the terms -- if you pull up on the tremolo arm, the bridge gets wedged into the body, which cannot be done if it's already resting against the body (without damaging the body).
