  • The knee was down and the pass was forward

The Cal player intentionally hit the band player with his forearm

    Nuff said

  • Be serious. Georgia would destroy cal. Also, you claim that "cal eats pieces of shit like sec teams for breakfast" and then you use USC's win over Arkansas as one of your examples. Don't take credit for USC since the Bears lose to USC year after year. Face the truth. The Bears are USC's bitch. If cal played Georgia, they would be Georgia's bitch. Tedford's message will soon fade and cal will return to being mediocre. Wait until you don't have the worst stadium in the country before bragging.

  • Cry Stanfurd, Cry!

  • @localboy333 Seeing such distinct unintelligence from our opposition brings me great joy. Even if you did win this game by such slim a margin and in such an unforgettable manner, at the end of the day we remain more intelligent, successful, and for the most part more satisfied with our lives.

  • I don't even watch football.. but that was SICK!!!!!

  • I would definitely knock over a band member if I were running in that TD!

  • Final "Set-in-Memorial Stadium-Concrete-Forever" 1982 Big Game Score:

    CALIFORNIA GOLDEN BEARS 25,

    stanfurd junior college BAND 20....

enuf said all you stanfurd crybabes!!!...

    Ha!ha!ha!...LOL....GO BEARS!!!!

    Beat stanfurd again today......

  • @psychotoad1 Watch the video "The play to beat the band"

You will see that the knee was clearly down.

And the pass was NOT lateral.

  • @AVL1S really? because they broke it down in ESPN's whose number 1 a few years back, and they broke it down frame by frame... it was PERFECTLY LATERAL................ NOT FORWARD. NOT BACKWARD. as for the knee, that is all speculation, there is no way to determine conclusively one way or the other, so while i respect your opinion that the knee was down, to say it was "so obviously down" is just showing how ignorant you really are.

  • @psychotoad1 The pass itself was lateral, but because the player was running so fast while he threw it, it caused it to go forward, forcing the ball to be caught BEHIND where it was thrown.

As for the knee: that is so obviously down it is insane. It's not even close.

  • @AVL1S The pass was PERFECTLY lateral.... it wasnt forward, it wasnt backwards. and I dont know hwo you can see that the knee is down........... you must have some super high tech video equipment that can magnify up close because otherwise youre just guessing........... NUFF SAID.....

  • @AVL1S Yeah. The knee was down. Question though: If the player has already started the lateral motion, but the ball was still touching his hand when his knee hits, would the play dead? Because if the ball is already being jarred loose on a fumble, it doesn't matter if the knee is down while still touching the player. However, it looked like he still had firm control. Oh well. Ref mistakes are part of the game, although thankfully becoming less and less with replay.
