  • actually, their dad was Jewish, and their mother was Episcopalian, then they converted to Islam and they were raised practicing the Sufi way of life. Aaron and his brother later gave their life to Jesus as they got older. They continue to work with the Simple Way Christian ministry and Another World is Possible with Shane Claiborne.

  • bro i know the message as much as anyone. i was just wondering what kind of guitar it was because i think i play the same one. haha

  • @TylerBunnell Their father was Jewish? :O :O

Not christian ?? Are you sure?

  • im confused. they sing songs about God, but mention Allah in others and say they believe in God, but they say "their hearts are very far from Jesus". so, i dont know what they are. but their music is excelent.

  • As a young guy who rejected Christianity long ago, I have to say that I appreciate Weiss' lyrics in a very non-secular way if that makes sense. Similar to how any person nowadays can take lessons from Greek Mythology. I don't think that Mewithoutyou is a christian band, but similar to bands like Underoath and August Burns Red they consist of band members who do have strong faith in religion. Religious themes aside, the songs that this band writes are beautiful, epic, and insightful.

  • If I were in that crowd MAN would I be screaming. So lucky to have them perform for God, in front of you.

  • this is the most perfectly written song ever.

  • ......what the fuck?

  • @bigdudebr92 oh, thanks wikipedia.

  • There are Christian bands, and there are bands of Christians. This is a band that defines themselves through their religion, so I would call them a Christian band, but of course many will call me wrong, as I probably am.

In the end, who cares? It's wonderfully inspired music.

  • Due to the Christian themes of Aaron Weiss' lyrics, they have been categorized as a Christian band, although in interview, A. Weiss has stated he doesn't think they are a Christian band. Their lyrics reflect a personal relationship with God, and are not evangelistic. Other lyrical themes explored include suffering and self-doubt.

  • definitely not =)

we all know that ALL toothnnail bands r christian

no need to argue w youtubers as to the content of his lyrics, or about being "true" fans lol

    shh... listen for it =)
