Again time for a clip with The Greatest Rockband ROLLING STONES. This is one not so known blueser called FANCY MAN BLUES. Taken from the EMI/Virgin album Rarities. I think I have done at least more than ten videos of great Stones Songs. All of them uploaded from my other channel FALKE58.
This is my first video with them for my new channel PHILDEEFERSITE.

Rarities 19712003 is a compilation album by The Rolling Stones that was released in 2005 worldwide by Virgin Records - as well as by the coffee-chain Starbucks in North America - and features a selection of rare and obscure material recorded between 1971 and 2003. The album peaked at #76 on the Billboard chart (Billboard Dec 10, 2005).

Several B-sides were included, such as "Fancy Man Blues", "Anyway You Look at It", "Wish I'd Never Met You", "Through the Lonely Nights", and the band's live rendition of "Let It Rock" from 1971.

In the liner notes, lead singer Mick Jagger acknowledges the band's discretion at re-releasing what they consider to be lesser songs, hence, a partial explanation for some of the songs in absence on Rarities 19712003. Although the cover image is from 1978 (from the music video for "Respectable") it only shows the current four members of the band and does not feature bassist Bill Wyman, who was removed from the picture; the original color image can be seen in the booklet from Forty Licks, showing him standing in the back behind Jagger and Richards.
This is my third animated video and all my remaked pictures has a small tune of blue who I thinks feeded up Fancy Man Blues well.
My hopes is that you like my video and my works. If not you still got the blues. Fancy Man Blues.

All the best from the video maker,

  • Thanks for the info. I still can't believe that's Chuck Leavell. He wasn't that great with Sea Level, though that's just my opinion.

  • @elleng222

  • @elleng222 depends on what you're tunes you're talking about with sea level.check "grand larceny" "scarborough fair" rain in spain" "midnight pass" or "cats on the coast." he also was member of the allman bros. for 3 albums, check out his piano solo on "jessica."

  • @PhilDeeferSite you made this video? awesome !! i would have shat [past tense] in my pants!! i started playing the guitar in 1964 as an 8 year old when i saw the stones perform "it's all over now" on the red skelton show. THE pivotal moment of my life!! we heard "love me do" and "i wanna hold your hand" back then. all that bubblegum stuff. we were watching the stones on tv and my dad said, "my god!! it looks like they rolled off a garbage truck" and i thought "yeah!" still my favorite band!!

  • @elleng222 yes, it sounds very much like the late great ian stewart but it's chuck leavell who stewart personally recommended to be his successor in the stones.

  • @elleng222

It was recorded in 1989 and released as a b-side for

Mixed Emotion. It wasnt Ian Stewart on piano,

it was Chuck Leawell. Thanks for the nice words, my friend.

All THe Best from the videomaker

    Michael

  • Can tell what year this was recorded? Also, this sounds like Ian Stewart; am I right? Great video; as a TV tech, I can say nice job....
