Beauty on a Budget From the Streets of NYC

In tough times like these the last thing we want to do is to lose our heads and look like we are all off to the poor house, even if we are already there. So what's a girl to do to keep looking beautiful even as they hand you that pink slip.

Our Editorial Director, Rachel Hayes, hit the streets of NYC to get advice from hardened New Yorkers. Their counsel is stick with the good stuff where it counts, like blushes and foundation, but on basics like Eye Liner and Mascara head to the Drugstore. You might love those 4 new shades of pink but bite your lip and just settle on the one. Roll up your sleeves and get busy with your own manicures and pedicures. If the roots start showing think about doing your own touch-ups at home. In the fashion department think season-less, year-round shoes and accessories. Hit those Sale Racks and find that $100 dress that looks just as good as the $300 one. But finally if you are down to your last can of Chef Boyardee find simple joy in a new lipstick that brightens your day and goes well with pink.
