Thank you everyone!

I use the OH squat as a warm-up only and have been doing the low-bar squat. Used the correct form today and it was MUCH easier on the shoulders and hips and going below parallel was much easier. Thanks.

Boris,is this possible (fonzie) with heavy weigths??

@guima300 Intention matters here. With a barbell in your hands, you can't "do the Fonzie", but the upper arm should externally rotate somewhat engaging the upper back into the movement.

Hey boris, this has been very useful for me to see as I am currently doing some therapy to teach my shoulders to externally rotate, utilising the posterior delts and lats effectively.
I was wondering however if you had heard the "elbows out" cue for setting up the pull for the snatch. I see all OL lifters turning their elbows out (internal rotation) strongly for the snatch. This flares the lats for the pull and also helps elbows to get high into a triple extension.

I don't see any need or benefit to cue internal rotation during the first or second pull. Maybe someone else w. more experience in OL will chime in, but that's my opinion.

Is it possible to substitute regular squats with OH squats?

@elmirg
If you want to get better at regular squats, then you should do regular squats.
