@Astraea52 -- Thank you for your comment. Kiri's interpretation is beautiful with reverence as well as a light, crystal quality. Have you listened to Luciano Pavarotti's 1978 interpretation at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Montreal with the Boys Choir.

Beautiful interpretation. My former coach, the late Dr. Dean Verhines, a leading coach of the Bel Canto method, admired Kiri Te Kanawa's voice. Also note Jessye Norman's version of Panis Angelicus--exquisite with richness and vocal line presence.

I'm sorry i thought you were a man I had on msn and that I knew from St. Gallen. Maybe Teufel means something in swiss german, I don't know...

I know this song and this fantastic voice since last week at the celebration of my mother's funeral.
I was very touched and happy when I got this video in a YouTube greeting card.
Many thanks for this everlasting remembrance to the creator of the video and to the sender of the greeting card ;-)
