Old Bill tells how for the funding for the upcoming tour of the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai PCYC Theatre Co production of ' Under The Bridge' they have turned to: Crowdfunding.

Crowdfunding, although very big overseas, the USA in particular, is relatively new to Australia (12 mths) but already 100's of independent projects; theatre, art, music, film have been funded this way with the help of the public. Our project (the funding of the tour) has been accepted by the largest and most respected Crowdfunding site: Pozible.

Crowdfunding, How does it work?
We have put our project online with our goal (target) $6000 and our nominated time to raise this amount: 65 days. YOU become a supporter of the project by pledging an amount of money of one of the 16 levels we have created (starts a low as $5). at this stage this is a PLEDGE ONLY. Your pledged is not processed until the end of the time period (65 days) AND ONLY if we reach our target ($6000). If we do not, we get nothing and your pledge (credit card) is not processed (debited). Of course the PCYC being a registered charity. your support is FULLY TAX DEDUCABLE and you will mailed a receipt.

Each level of support has a dollar amount and the reward(s) that you will receive for becoming a supporter IF our target is achieved.
