  • But, I just gotta ask you to correct the spelling of rhythm. As a long-time admirer of the dictionary...

  • ***laughing*** and I was sixth grade spelling champ! I totally missed that..thank you for calling it to my attention ☺ I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

  • I don't think I have heard Mr Edwards music before but I like it. I was wonderin' if you have every heard of George Formby - "I'm The Ukelele Man" Very cool vid BTW :) Peace & Health

  • no, I haven't heard him <grins> but you can be sure I'll look him up

  • Thanks VERY much for posting this musical great! Your channel is fantastic!

  • The picture with Keaton was really cool. :)

  • luv it

  • I once saw a fragment on the internet where this song was performed in a solo by a lady (an old fragment). I can't find it anywhere, but I found out this will do. What a fascinating rhythm, it is!

  • I remember as a kid in the early 50's watching Jiminy Crickett, my Mother always said, "that's Ukele Ike." Now I have a couple of his cd's and love him more than ever, it's said he was one of the original scat singers.

  • I learned how to play chord change from a 'Ukulele Ike' song book. It was my first fake book. It had tune like "Jada", Don't Blame me", I cried fro you" Darktown Strutters ball". Love his singing. It seems like Leon Redbone may have been influenced by cliff "Ukulele Ike" Edwards. Much thx for posting. I'm adding to my favs.

  • Look at the cigarette at the headstock of the uke, uh rock guitar players didnt start tht trend after all. lol

  • Playing this again and again on my saxophone...just love it. =)

  • I think the main riff is clearly based on this. But I wouldn't say the whole song "Burn" is based on this, as stuff like the vocals aren't at all based on this song imo.
