Avatar- cheesy,long, plot has been done before in other movies(smurfs,pochahontas, dances with the wolves), had an idea of what the conclusion would come too.83%ON rotten tomatoes, oh and overated.

Hurtlocker-97% on rotten tomatoes, bigelow put her heart and soul into the characters, it makes you respect the marines out there that fight for us! It had a good solid plot, no cheesness, you really didnt know what the end would result in, its never been done before!

i think the case for the bigelow cameron thing is simple......as much as i liked avatar more then hurt locker i think that cameron sitting by a bunch of computers and digital projects in a warehouse is not as noteworthy as bigelow siting in the sand with an actual camera. once again not beating on avatar but i think its the only arguable statement

Come on Ben I thought you knew better than that! Really the Oscars have no value out of the 90 something editions only 5 or 6 movies actually earned it. Examples so grotesque are giving it to Rocky instead of Taxi Driver or to Forrest Gum and not Pulp Fiction!
