Written as a plea, a shout out, a prayer for the folks & critters of the Gulf. Memphis Minnie's "What's the Matter with the Mill" was calling for this re-write. While I had fun creating this, it is my sincere hope that it becomes obsolete sooner than later. Thanks to Mike Dowling, Jeff Newsom, John Kidwell and my boys, Owen & Sam, for helping with this.

  • Great Job Ben....ironically enuff' a new twist on an old Muddy Waters tune...again,GREAT job !!!

  • Thanks, Ben, this is great!

  • Brillant prayer, Ben!

Right let's make it history sooner than later.

A friend in NC wrote this: "In the great North Carolina tradition of tragedy ballads; great sound and turn of phrase,

"there's a hole in the ocean."

Your cuz Katie in Maine - where I so gratefully walk oil-free (so far) shore...all the same water...tragedy TRAGEDY!

  • real nice job on this, ben. tragic circumstances but good seeing you in your new role as video star.

  • way to go folks. This way more of us will see how bad it is. Thanks

  • Excellent! How 'bout captions for my poor deaf ma, who was decrying the pollution of the Cuyahoga River (the one that caught fire) back in 1967?

  • good sound. that's what makes it.

  • Ben, very slick job. Sending it all 'round.

  • funny - but then again not!

  • Well, that's a deep subject.......thanks for posting, Ben!
