Converts 12 volts to ~180 volts, up to about .1 amp. I will be building this to hopefully design line-voltage switching power supplies. Note that the zener is meant to approximate two neon bulbs in series. Created with the circuit simulator at http://www.falstad.com/circuit/
Warning: This circuit produces line voltages at significant current.
In the end, I used a TL494-based boost converter, and was only able to output about 15 watts using the inductors I had on hand.

  • use MOFSET instead Bipolar transistors ;)

  • @MrSomeone4321 In the actual circuit I built, i did use a MOSFET.

  • podrias por favor decir cual fue el programa que utilizastes como simulador ???

could you please tell which was the program as a simulator utilizastes??

  • @ochaustre Click "Show more" to see the rest of the description, which has the link to the simulator.

  • hey man...which program is that?

    p.s(i'm trying 17 to 450 converter boost-flyback circuit)

  • @stamatopa See the description for a link to the simulator.
