Wow, thanks for posting this classic footage of Elmer Trett. Thanks the internet, we'll always be able to hear that engine! Loved it!

@nitroharley81 My Family's company made them. We have a Aerospace Machine Shop in Burbank California. We made them from billet stock with our CNCs. I still have a few setup parts that I just saw today, as a matter of fact and it made me remember to check this page. I am 30 now and some of this time is hazy and I for sure was not working here when they were made but I was talking to my dad about them the other day and he said that when they left here they still got some ET treatment.

This is 1987. Period.

Isnt it a pity that we're always shooting , video or still, with the sun at our backs, and fans want to avoid sun in their faces, so they sit on the same side of the track as the camera...making nearly all grandstand shots unless especially shot, look empty. We had a great big crowd there in 87, and a true monster in 88. look at picasaweb telsport for a gander at the Atlanta crowd...84 another monster.

PS Elmer wasn't very facetious with me though. He knew I took him seriously, and unless we were in a circumstance where that sort of "stuff" was appropriate, he laid it on the line and I didn't have to apply any interpretative "think" to his words. Greg Guarinello once tried to be cute on the DRAGBIKE! forum and said I did everything that Elmer told me to. I shot back that, "Yes, I just about always did." Why not,? he was usually right.

Hello, I am Elmer's Son in Law I am married to Kelly. Thanks for putting this video on here. However this is not the Titanium Framed Bike. Bobby Maloy rode the titanium bike for Elmer more than Elmer rode it. He even beat Elmer one time and Elmer told him at the other end that he had just lost his ride. Elmer was joking, but Bobby thought he was serious. Those that knew Elmer knew that dry humor he had.
At the end of this video I see it shows the Cylinder head. My dad made these heads for Elmer and I think that he is in the video but I am not sure since its hard to see a face and i was young then and would not remember if he went to ennis or not. Do you know what is said before the head comment is made by the person recording the video?
