The problem is that the McCain Campaign fought for the format to NOT be the same back and forth that you saw in the 1st Pres Debate. Instead, the McCain Campaign fought for the debate format to only be question then answer. So NO talking (back and forth) to the opponent.
Therefore, this gives Palin a buffer to focus on only spewing her scripted lines--no scary improv moments that could occur if she had to respond to Biden directly.

Biden makes gaffes, some huge, that's for sure. But, he more often exhibits an ability to speak clearly and decisively on difficult matters, while Palin can't provide anything but memorable one-liners. That won't be enough in a debate format.

Will McCain be able to help her out during the debate. Maybe Davis can transfer him in to a cockroach that sits on her shoulder and whisper in her ear what Republicans goals are and stop her when she again supports an Obama idea.
