  • i just got one from a friend and i was curious what kind of batteries it takes because i can't figure it out

  • @babyeatin 4 AA's in the handle

  • @16mmDJ

i think my camera is missing something because the batteries are not snug.

here's a picture: does it look like i'm missing anything?

  • @babyeatin If you put up a link to a photo, youtube doesn't allow you to do that. Make a video of what you're talking about right quick and tell me when you put it up. I will do my best to help you out.

  • What a nice camera (and camera collection)! That one is very similiar to my families S-8 camera we shot all our home movies on during the '70's. Thanks for sharing. I know you can still purchase film I think directly from Kodak, but it's pretty expensive now and processing too. -Colin.

  • Thanks very much! this camera is so much like others. but it was made really well, and that is what makes the difference. Glazers camera still sells the film.

  • I bought one of these new when I was 19 years old and serving in the Army. I took it with me on my gun jeep. It was a tough little jewel and I cherish the films I made in Vietnam with it in 1971/1972.

  • asa is a setting for the camera's light meter (for the auto f stop) telling the camera to compensate for the film's sensitivity to light. thumbs up to share the knowledge

  • @theforbiddentape Oh- also its likely to be the viewfinder. You have to unscrew it a bit, about 3 or 4 turns, to the left. That should put it in focus.

  • @theforbiddentape Does your lens have a black haze filter on it? Mine did, and when I unscrewed it, the focus became much clearer. It may also be because its not always a clear image when you look through the viewfinder- maybe put it on a tripod or surface to keep it still and then play around with the focus? Another test you can do is to zoom fully out, and then twist the focus rind til its on infinity (looks like an 8 on its side.) It should be in focus like that. (:

  • So I can't see what's in/out of focus through the viewfinder? Because when I look through it nothing happens when I change the focus distance. Please help me on this :D

  • Got the super cm 300 for 5 euro today :) Super clean and working

  • I have a sankyo super cm 300 and I can't wait to use it but I don't have a manual.

So I was wondering if you could tell me how to put the film roll into the camera?

I tried to do it but I ended up destroying my film roll.

    Thanks in advance!

  • my grandad has a wind up one, its fucking cool!

  • my batteries don't fit snug. is there something i could be missing?
