  • Maybe our American president should listen to this tune (and others that Vera did) and learn a little about the special people the British are. He should remember that there IS and damned well always will be a unique bond between our two countries and that the bust of Churchill should be returned IMMEDIATELY to the Oval Office. Cheers to all from NJ, USA.

  • @supernikki12100 This isn't about you. This is about complimentary statements made by me about the spirit of the British people, and you've done absolutely nothing but spout venom and bitterness. Additionally, you attributed someone else's pro-American comments to me. Lots of people on this page have said great thing about Britain, and rightly so. It was a positive place until you showed up with your bile and hatred.

  • Vera, Vera, what has become of you? Does anyone else in here, feel the way I do, some shiney day.

  • @patrickburnsmusic from a "limey" here in uk thank you for those kind words for my fellow countryman, make no mistake they where the finest generation from both our countries the debt we owe can never be repaid, americans always welcome in my home

  • To you young chaps that weren't born between 1939-45 have no idea what good people

on both sides went through, talk is cheap but reality isn't forgotten.....we owe the USA our

freedom as does Europe..we paid our $ debt back in full, who else did ? And the UK's loyalty

has been with the US ever since..Korea, Afg:, Iraq, Libya, Park: etc.we need each other !!!

  • @patrickburnsmusic AMEN TO THAT!!

  • @bobklahn No one said it belonged to the US. The loan by Britain, however, was terminated by the current US administration. As for Lincoln, I have nothing at all against Lincoln. Why would you suggest that?

  • @patrickburnsmusic

The bust of Churchill did not belong to the US, it was on loan and was returned to it's owner.

What do you have against Lincoln, the first Republican president, whose bust is now on display there.

  • Fine video series. Remarkable music. What for "white" killed each other in 20-th century much?

  • @Druiddoceu I do now, and Vera is awesome. I found this version because I'm a huge Linda Ronstadt fan. You can't do links on YT, but if you search "Linda on the Muppet Show" you'll find her serenading Kermit with this song and trust me you won't be disappointed. I call Linda the face that could launch a thousand ships and the voice that could launch ten thousand ships. A lot of my friends disagree with me saying her voice is too loud and whinny. You be the judge.

  • @patrickburnsmusic Your negative comment shows at the top of the page I'm looking at. What did I miss?

  • I learned this song when I was in grade four at mayapyap elementary school. I will always be grateful to miss mendoza who taught us.
